To celebrate the 98th anniversary of founding of Chinese Communist Party and to promote the theme education of “Remaining True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission in Mind”, and in accordance with the theme education schedule of the Group, celebration conference of the 98th anniversary of founding of Chinese Communist Party cum work conference of party construction with clean administration in the first half of 2019 was held by the Group in the conference hall on 1/F of the podium building of Guangzhou International Financial Center in the afternoon of July 4. It commended the Group’s Advanced Grassroots Party Organizations, Outstanding Communist Party Members, Outstanding Party Affair Workers in 2019, carried out the theme education and model education, and summarized and deployed the work of party construction with clean administration by the Group in the first half of 2019. Zhang Zhaoxing, Yuexiu Group’s Communist Party Secretary, Chairman, Leader of the Theme Education Leading Group, delivered a special lecture on the communist party in the conference.

The conference was presided over by the First Deputy Leader of the Theme Education Leading Group. Around 330 persons attended this meeting, including, the leading group members from the Group and each sections, middle management staff and above from the Group Headquarters, the party and the masses of each sections, responsible persons of HR departments, responsible persons of each grass-roots party organizations, representatives of advanced grass-roots party organizations, outstanding communist party members, outstanding communist party affair workers, and all communist party members from the Group Headquarters.

In the conference, Lai Shuifen, the Group’s Party Committee member, secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission, and vice leader of the Theme Education Group announced the Decision on Commendation of Outstanding Communist Party Members, Outstanding Party Affair Workers, and Advanced Grassroots Party Organizations, and honored 50 persons including Huang Zheng as “Outstanding Communist Party Members”, 15 persons including Pan Gui as “Outstanding Party Affair Workers”, and 12 companies including Guangzhou Urban Construction and Development Nansha Real Estate CO, LTD as “Advanced Grassroots Communist Organizations”. The party committee members and the theme education group members awarded prizes to the advanced collectives and individuals.

Group’s Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Board Director, vice leader of the Theme Education Group Wu Shanghui, on behalf of the Party Committee of the Group, made a report on the work of party construction with clean administration in the first half of 2019. The report made a comprehensive and systematic summary of the work of party construction and construction of a clean and honest party and government in the first half of 2019 through following three aspects (1) to prioritize the political construction of the party and adhere to and strengthen the party's leadership in party construction; (2) to completely carry out the principal responsibility system in party disciplines, and effectively promote construction of a clean and honest party and anti-corruption campaign ; (3) to give full play to the work pattern of "big party construction" and "big culture", and focus on promoting the Group's high-quality development. For the second half of 2019, the Group’s Party Committee required that, all with the Group should follow the Xi Jingping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, faithfully carry out the theme education of“Remaining True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission in Mind”, and adhere to the comprehensive strict governance of the party, providing strong political, ideological and organizational guarantee for the realization of the Group's “13th Five-year Plan” strategic goals and the completion of various business plans in 2019.

Zhang Zhaoxing, the Group’s Communist Party Secretary, Chairman, Leader of the Theme Education Leading Group, focusing on further in-depth study and understanding of Secretary General Xi Jingping’s important speech on the original aspiration, centering on the general requirements of the theme education “remaining original aspiration, bearing the mission, finding the gap, and promoting implementation”, combined with the Group's reality, made a special party lecture entitled “remain original aspiration and start again, bear the mission in mind and shoulder the responsibility”. Secretary Zhang Zhaoxing pointed out that, party organizations at all levels and party members of the Group should continuously deepen their understanding and implementation of Xi Jingping’s Thought of Socialism with Chinese characteristics in the New Era through theme education, upgrade their minds with theories, guide their practice with thoughts, and fulfill their original mission with the Group's real achievements in reform and development and the achievements in comprehensively governing the party with strict disciplines.

Secretary Zhang Zhaoxing stressed that, we should keep the original purposes and aspirations in mind, adhere to the people-centered development idea, focus on improving the core competitiveness of the Group, focus on key points, improve and strengthen weak points, strive to practice the enterprise mission of “repaying shareholders, employees, and the society”, make our state-owned capital stronger, better and larger, seek the well-being of our employees, and actively fulfill our social responsibilities. Moreover, we should know the heavy burden and mission, and earnestly fulfill the Group's political, economic, and social responsibility as a state-owned enterprise, seize the historic development opportunities brought by the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (“GBA”) and the deepening reform of state assets and state-owned enterprises, integrate resources in a larger scope and at a higher level, and promote the development of the Group and its main industries to a new level. To find the gap comparing to the models and the standards, combined with the solid development of theme education, promote the solution of problems which the Group encounters in the process of reform and development, operation and management, and comprehensive party governance with disciplines, and promote the healthy and stable development of the Group with new responsibilities and actions in the new era. We should be brave enough to fulfill our responsibilities and stick to the work theme of “reform and innovation, transformation and upgrading” and the annual business plan of the Group this year, push forward the work step by step as scheduled. We will gather the strength of entrepreneurship and put the work into practice at the down-to-earth manner to upgrade the Group to a new level and demonstrate its courage and insight.
