——Chairman Zhang Zhaoxing met with Schwab, Chairman of World Economic Forum
Mr. Schwab, the founder and the chairman of World Economic Forum, met a delegation from Guangzhou in the afternoon on Jan. 20 in Swiss and Chairman Zhang Zhaoxing accompanied with Municipal Secretary Ren Xuefeng were received warmly.
It was the first time for Yuexiu Group to participate the world class grand gathering of intelligence. The participation of Yuexiu Group with Guangzhou delegation was not only an affirmation of dramatic improvement in performance and strength from the municipal government, but also a recognition of remarkable achievements in adjustment and optimization, transformation and upgrading, reform and development in recent years from the commercial world. Since 2008, compound growth rates of total group assets, revenue and profit had reached 27.43%, 18.65% and 26.19%, respectively. In 2014, the revenue of the Group exceeded 30 billion yuan for the first time which was one of the requirements for enterprises to participate the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Chairman Zhang Zhaoxing had attended conferences such as “China outlook”, “Current situation of banking industry”, “Comments on Chinese economic development”, “An insight, new”, “Forum debate: Geo-economic competition” and “Frankfurt meets Davos” to learn wisdom in global development; had interviewed leaders of world-famous enterprises such as SCB, BCG, VW, Siemens, DHL, Moller-Maersk, etc. to exchange strategic thinking, operation philosophy and business model of enterprises face-to-face; and had talked with famous entrepreneurs in China and abroad such as Jack Ma, Chairman of the Board of Alibaba, Dennis Nally, Chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers International and discussed the internet, mega data, financial development, talent cultivation, business transformation and upgrading, etc. to learn the successful experiences of global industry leaders and to promote international development vision of Yuexiu.
Going ahead with the wise and learning from masters. The trip to Davos, which meant attending an idea summit to improve the international vision and strategic vision of the Group as well as having more ambitious goals and aspirations, was a “trip of communication and learning” to hear the “strongest” voice of our prime minister and a “trip of confidence” to present Yuexiu. The year 2015 is the 30th anniversary of the Group and is crucial for launching the 13th Five Year Plan and creating new industrial development pattern. We should follow the developing trend of times and deepen the reform and innovation and strive to keep winning through broader industrial development vision and stronger integration of resources, in order to become an excellent modern international enterprise with stronger market competitiveness.
